The you that you are is enough!
You don’t have to be more, you don’t have to buy more, or do more.
You are enough doesn’t mean you are a final product…we should always be learning and growing and expanding our minds to the fullest!
You are enough means that you can grow and change and continue to become, without striving to become more validated, acceptable or loved.
There have be countless times in my life when I have people pleased, remained quiet, dressed in certain styles, done SO many things I never wanted to do all because I DID NOT THINK I WAS ENOUGH!
Can you relate??
I’ll be completely honest with you – embracing change never feels comfortable and often feels quite unnatural. But often, it is the experience of taking a risk and plunging into change where we prove to ourselves our amazing capabilities … and we finally realize “OMG I AM ENOUGH!!”
So last week, when I was lucky enough to find myself in Las Vegas with total creative freedom and lots of me time while Jay was busy at the Amazon re:MARS 2019 conference. Having days by myself, wandering for miles while photographing all the amazing spectacles of color (these shots were taken on one of my excursions to the beautiful Primrose cafe at Park MGM, gave me the time to realize I need take the plunge and embrace change.
For years Jay has been encouraging me to take a course on UX design. A someone who studied painting in college and had a graphic design studio, he kept telling me that I had such an eye for visual thinking and I could really do so many amazing creative things with UX skills (like create a much more user friendly website for my baby Ms Coffee and Cream!!)

In Vegas it really hit me that I have been feeling stagnant…like parts of my brain have amazing books inside that are just sitting on the shelf collecting dust. So I decided I would start interviewing and pick an intensive UX course and see where it takes me.
As I focused this week on research and learning the very basics of UX design, I kept thinking I wasn’t enough. I remember all the times I struggled in math during high school. I whined to Jay “I can’t do math Jay!!!! I was never good at computer stuff!! I can’t code!”
He kept reminding me that I am enough and kept reminding me to stop my limiting self beliefs. Sometimes we all need a good reminder from our loved ones that we are enough. As it turns out I’m loving everything about UX and currently prototyping my first app project with much passion and verve!!!
So when your negative inner voice or the world whispers doubts in your mind, remember you were enough before and your are enough now!!!!
